Temporary Closure of Roads

North Cork Athletic Club – Charleville Half Marathon 2022

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Roads Act 1993 of the decision of Limerick City and County Council & Cork County Council to close the roads detailed hereunder at the specified locations and times on Sunday 15th September 2024 to facilitate North Cork Athletic Club in the holding of the Charleville Half Marathon 2024.

Cos. Limerick & Cork

R515 from Charleville (junction with Clancy Terrace) to its junction with R512 at Sarsfield St., Kilmallock (Fitzgerald’s Corner).

 

County Limerick:

R512 (from its junction with R515 at Fitzgerald’s Corner to its junction with Glenfield Road at Catholic Church); L8576 (Glenfield Road).

 

County Cork:

L1316 (Bakers Lane) between its junction with Railway Road, Charleville and its junction with R515 at Clancy Terrace.

  

 

 

Traffic from Charleville:

Use L1317 (Railway Road) onto N20 and via Charleville town to O’ Rourkes Cross, R518 via Bruree and R512 into Kilmallock

 

Traffic from Kilmallock:

Use R518 off R512 at North Bridge, Kilmallock via Bruree to O’ Rourkes Cross and N20 through Charleville.

Local traffic will be accommodated where possible.

Diversions will be clearly signposted.
